Head Coach - Leon Butts

Coach Leon started playing the game at the age of six. He learned the game of baseball and was coached by the best, Larry Jones, Sr. - the father of Atlanta Braves, Chipper Jones, and Mr. Richard Hagstrom. Coach Leon threw his first no hitter at the age of 10 and played in the Little League World Series in the Southeast Region. He has played every position on the field with Pitcher and Short-stop being his main two. He decided to concentrate on pitching and made the pitcher rotation on his high school varsity team as a freshman, which earned him a scholarship to Bethune-Cookman University. Coach Leon's career was cut short with a shoulder injury. After a few years away from the game, Coach Leon decided to move in another directon and began instructing and coaching youth. Since 2005, he has worked in the Marquis Grissom Baseball Association coaching, teaching and developing players. He also started The "K" Zone Pitching Clinic. Assistant Coach - Taurus Christler

Coach Taurus has been coaching for 13 years.  He has coached several teams in the USSSA, Triple Crown and AABC tournaments. Taurus not only coaches, but he also played baseball starting at the age of 4 until he reached high school.  He ended his career with the Benjamin E. Mays High School Raiders baseball team in 1997.  He will continue on the field as a coach, because he loves the game and also giving back to the youth in his community.

Keandra Aaron - Outfielder, Pitcher

Keandra began playing baseball at the age of 4.  He played 4 years for the Riverdale Athletic Association. In 2006, he played on the Phillies where they placed 1st in the Director's cup and was also a USSSA World Series Qualifier Champ. His team was also the Clayton County Champs.In 2008, Keandra moved to the North Clayton Athletic Association where he played for the next 3 years.  In 2010, he played on the BlackSox and they were the 9/10 year old park champs, as well as the Clayton County champs.  His team placed runner-up in the AABC State tournament and also played in the ESPN World Series. 

Justin Christler - Outfielder, Pitcher

Justin started his little league career at the age of 3 with the Gresham Park Mariners.  Justin's experience has come from playing on AAA and Major Class teams. He has participated in USSSA, Triple Crown, and AABC tournaments. Although Justin has played on several teams, in several positions, he's looking forward to another exciting and fun season with the MGBA Georgia Monarchs. While he is grateful for what he has learned on the field with the other teams, he's ready to learn more to move on to that next level in 11 year old baseball. Justin states, "I'm ready to play some ball. Go Monarchs!"

Cameron Hill - Third Baseman and Outfielder

Cameron began playing baseball at the age of 3. During his short career, he has accomplished many things.  In 2007 and 2008, his team was the Southwest Baseball Pinto League Champions, Southwest Baseball District Champions, and Georgia State Champions. In 2008, he also played on a team that was the Georgia Representative Pony Zone Champions which was played in Schertz, Texas. Cameron loves playing baseball and in 2009/2010 he received the Best Athlete Award.  His favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees and the Tampa Bay Rays.  His favorite baseball players are Derek Jeter and Evan Longoria. Cameron is not only a baseball player but a 2009/2010 Spelling Bee Finalist and has been awarded the Head Master Award All "A" Honor Roll.  Cameron is also on the Covenant Christian School Chess team and apart of the Tiger Woods First Tee Program. 

Marion J. Holt - 1st Baseman, Outfielder

Jordan began playing baseball at the age of 5. He played on a recreational ball team for 4 years and has also played travel ball for 2 years. He played in the Grand Slam Promotions tournament in Tennessee where his teamed placed 1st in the End of Summer All-Star Bash. Jordan played basketball for 6 years and was on a team that won the UCAA Championship in 2009. He also played football for 1 year with the Jonesboro Longhorns. Jordan runs Track - the 100 meter dash, the long jump and the 4 by 1 relay. Jordan is a member of the Junior Beta Club and a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and also attends Salem Bible Church (east side location). 

Carter Jones - 1st Baseman, Catcher, Pitcher

Carter began playing baseball at the age of 5. In 2007, Carter began to play competitive travel ball. He enjoys playing video games, swimming, and biking with his friends. Carter's desire is to attend the University of Alabama or Georgia Tech. His future plan is to become a professional pitcher one day.  His favorite player is Jason Heyward. 

Taylor Lomack - Outfielder

Taylor began playing baseball at the age of 3 for the Henry County Parks and Recreation.  By the age of 6, Taylor had advanced to the all-star league for Henry County and played in Dizzy Dean, USSSA, and the AABC leagues. Between the ages of 6 and 10, Taylor played on a travel team and has accomplished several awards. These awards include: 2010 USSSA Baseball Toughout NIT, 2009 Super NIT 2nd place, 2009 USSSA 1st place October Slam, 2009 Mother's Day Shootout, and 2008 District runner-ups. Taylor not only plays baseball but enjoys other sports as well. He plays Division One football where he holds a position as a running back. He also runs track for AAU where each year he makes it to the AAU finals in the 100m, 200m, and 4 by 4 relay. Outside of sports, Taylor is an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. His goal is to become an Eagle Scout. Taylor knows without good grades it's impossible to continue to play sports in school, so he works very hard to maintain a "B" average.  

Joshua Smith - 1st Baseman, 3rd Baseman, Pitcher

Josh began playing baseball at the age of 6. Josh began to play competitive baseball in 2007 with the Old National Bisons where he played Pitcher and 3rd base. In 2007, he played in the USSSA World Series where his team placed Runner-up to the champions. Josh has continued to play competitive ball with the North Henry Astros in 2008-2010. Also in 2010, Josh played with the Georgia Grays in the Smoltz-Grissom Wood Bat Nationals where his team placed First. He also played in the Global Sports North State Champions where his team placed First and in the Triple Crown Summer Nationals where his team placed Second. 

Jeffrey Taylor - Second Baseman, Catcher, Pitcher

Jeffrey began playing baseball at the age of 4 at Old National Park.  Jeffrey has been placed at every position on the field to learn that position.  He has played on numerous recreational and tournament travel teams from the age of 6. Jeffrey played on the Old National Bulldogs under the late Attorney Calvin "Skeet" Lamar, Jr. from the age of 6 to 9.  He also played on the Georgia War Eagles where they advanced to the 2008 World Series in Orlando, FL and placed 1st runner-up.  In 2010, at the age of 10, Jeffrey was selected to play with the Georgia Yarddogs Travel Baseball Team, where he had the opportunity to travel and play in tournaments throughout the Southeast in Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.  The Yarddogs won the title of South Eastern Regional Champions and was awarded the opportunity to play in the American Amateur Baseball Congress World Series in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico where the team placed 3rd overall. Jeffrey has hit several homeruns in his young career, has had many successful plays at Shortstop and catcher, and has received numerous trophies and awards. Jeffrey is an A/B Honor Roll student, a member of the Eddie J. White Male Leadership Academy, Plays the trombone and the drums in the Eddie J. White School Band, and is a member of the award winning Eddie J. White K-8 Academy “Dem Boyz” step team. Jeffrey also participates in Basketball, Football, Golf and enjoys Karate.

DeJuan VanDyke - Pitcher, First baseman, catcher

DeJuan began to play baseball at the age of 3. The following year at the age of 4, DeJuan was able to play up and played on the 5&6 year old team. In July of 2006, at the age of 6, DeJuan was picked up by another team to play in his first USSSA World Series. In 2007, at the age of 7, he moved into a competitive ball play where he participated in numerous tournaments.  It was at the age of 7 that he started his quest for success. DeJuan began pitching at the age of 7 and also learned to play 3rd base and catcher. In July of 2007, he also played in his second USSSA World Series where his team placed Runner-up. In 2009, at the age of 9, DeJuan again took a step up and played for the Marquis Grissom Baseball Association on their 10 and under travel tournament team. During the 2009 season, DeJuan had the opportunity to play in tournaments throughout the Southeast in Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. In 2010, DeJuan had the opportunity to play in the AABC World Series in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, where the team placed 3rd overall. In his short career, DeJuan has hit 16 homeruns, has struck out over 145 batters, and has received numerous trophies. DeJuan is an A/B Honor Roll Student and is a member of the National Junior Beta Club.

Malik Willis - Short-stop, Third Baseman, Outfielder
